Below are those events that relate to the paintings and the book by Todd's Mother, Jeanne Harris Weaver. Many other events by family members have taken place. Those events are remembered in the Remembering Todd pages of this website. 

2024

Friday, April 19: Jeanne speaks with a slide presentation of the paintings and a book signing to the MOAACC Navy Wives Club at IRCC in Viera, FL. 

2023

Thursday, May 25 - Tuesday, May 30, the paintings Losing Todd: A Mothers Journey will be exhibited at the historic Porcher House, Cocoa, on Delannoy Street. Jeanne will be present each day with her book as well from 2:00 - 5:00 pm. 

April 26 - 28

Paintings to be exhibited at the Florida State Capitol, Tallahassee, in the Rotunda.

2022

November 5: Speaking engagement to the Rufus Fairbanks Chapter of the DAR at a luncheon meeting which will be held at the Double Tree in Satellite Beach, FL.  Spoke with a slide presentation of the series of paintings

Memorial Day Weekend: Friday May 27 - Thursday, June 2. Exhibit of paintings: Losing Todd: A Mother's Journey at St. David 's by the Sea, 600 4th St. South, Cocoa Beach FL. Jeanne will be available with the paintings on Sunday after the 1015 service and on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30 from 10am - 2pm

2021

May 24 - 26, six paintings from Losing Todd A Mother's Journey will be exhibited at the Melbourne City Hall and City Commissioner's Meeting. Jeanne and her husband Donn will be presented a proclamation honoring their son and his sacrifice along with their service in the Gold Star and Veteran communities. 

2020

September 6 - September 13. The Veterans Museum, Merritt Island, FL located 400 S. Sykes Creek Prkwy. Jeanne will be present Monday - Saturday 11 am to 2 pm; Sunday 1 pm to 3 pm and on Patriot's Day 4 pm to closing. There will be a Gold Star Reception in the Museum on Patriots Day at 4:30 to 5:30 in the Museum. This will be followed by a Ceremony for Patriots Day outside at 5:30

Fall time (exact dates not yet set). Extended exhibit of the paintings, Losing Todd: A Mother's Journey at the Muscarelle Museum of Art on the campus of The College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Va.  commemorating the life of 1LT Todd William Weaver ten years after he was killed at Kandahar, Afghanistan. POSTPONED DUE TO CORONA VIRUS​

 

2019

Dec. 2 - 6: At the Orange County Convention Center. The Series of Paintings, "Losing Todd: A Mother's Journey will be exhibited at the  I-ITSEC (International Information Technology Information Show).  Artist, Author Jeanne Weaver, her husband, Todd's widow, Emma and daughter, Kiley will be present on Dec. 2. 

Memorial Day, May 27, 11:30, Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 U.S> Highway 1, Scottsmoor FL: Jeanne and Donn will be the Keynote speakers for the Memorial Day Event: America Responds. Jeanne will be reading from her book, Loosing Todd: A Mother's Journey.

2018

June 12, 2018: Interview with Bill Muckler on The American Vision airs on TLBTV.

April 20, 2018: Navy Wives Club at the Tides, Patrick AFB, Florida. Speaking Engagement. 

 

 

 

2017:

 

December 15 & 16: 1LT Todd William Weaver Celebrity Golf Classic, Orlando, FL. Book Signing and Painting Exhibit with the Operation Renewed Hope Foundation. 

 

October 26, 27, 28, 2017: Book Signing and Exhibit of Paintings with the Operation Renewed Hope Foundation. Destin, FL. 

 

September 8- 9, 2017: 1LT Todd William Weaver Celebrity Golf Classic Orlando, FL (postponed due to Hurricane Irma)

 

July 27- July 30, 2017:  Annual conference of Compassionate Friends, Orlando, FL . Exhibition of the series of paintings. Books will be sold through the Centering Corporation at the event and signing of books will also be available. In partnership with my husband, Donn we will conduct a workshop pertaining to military loss. Jeanne will also participate in the Friday luncheon program. More information to follow. 

 

May 25 - May 29, 2017: 23rd Annual TAPS National Military Survivor Seminar, Arlington, Virginia. Series of Paintings will be exhibited. Books will be available at the Resource Center for purchase. Permission has been given to TAPS to use images of 4 paintings as cards which will also be available to purchase at the Resource Center.

 

March 7, 2017: Television Event. Orlando FL.

 

February 23, 2017: Jeanne will appear on the Open To Hope Radio Program at Thursday, February 23, 2017 at opentohope.com

 

January 28, 2017, 11 am to 2 pm: Jeanne will be speaking on Pride and Honor of Veterans at the Ladies Philoptochos Chapter of the Greek Church at the Eau Gallie Yacht Club during  their annual membership meeting and luncheon.  Five paintings from the series Losing Todd will be exhibited. She will also read a short excerpt from the book and sign books available for purchase. 

 

January 23, 2017 at 4:00 pm: Open To Hope Internet Radio interview with Heidi Horsley.

Sept. 12, 2015

     The book, Losing Todd, A Mother's Journey, written by Todd's Mother, Jeanne Harris Weaver, is launched at The College of W&M Bookstore. The book is published by The Muscarelle Museum of Art at the college. It showcases the twenty-one oil paintings created by Jeanne in honor and memory of Todd. The paintings are accompanied by narrative essays, poetry and song lyrics, with additional essays by ten other people. 

 

 

Feb. 27, 2014

     Veterans Society Dinner, Cocoa Beach, FL. Jeanne is asked to give a speech at this event where a Missing Man table is placed. She gives an interpretive reading of Todd's funeral at ANC. Among The Hills of Valor

 

 

Memorial Day, 2012, Cocoa Beach, FL

     Todd's Mom, Jeanne gives the keynote address to the City of Cocoa at Riverfront Park. Her speech is in memory of Todd and all Soldiers, Airmen, Marines and Sailors who gave the ultimate Sacrifice for the freedoms of our Nation. Her series of paintings in tribute to Todd are exhibited at Cocoa's historic Porcher House and later through the month of June in Cocoa Beach. Speech

 

 

Veterans Day, 2011: The series of painting, Losing Todd: A Mother's Journey complete their exhibit on the W&M campus. On this day the exhibit opens for one month at the New Town Gallery, Williamsburg. The Veterans of Foreign Wars support the event along with the Revolutionary Guard of The College of William and Mary. A Revolutionary Guardsman stands watch during the three hour reception. 

 

September, 2011: The first 17 paintings by Jean go on a two month exhibit at the William and Mary Sadler Hall through the Muscarelle Museum of Art.
