1LT Todd Weaver

On October 14, 2010, Todd was laid to rest on the grounds of the serene sanctuary of Arlington National Cemetery (ANC). He rests among his compatriots and heroes of valor. (Section 60 # 9183 York Drive)

On this day, Todd was escorted from Dover by his dear friend and Marine, Capt Mike Farley. We held a private family service at the funeral home near ANC. It rained in the morning. By the afternoon, the sun shone for the more than 300 people who attended the ceremony which unfolded with the full hoors given all who rest at Arlington.

It was a momentous funeral.

We will forever remember all who joined us to bear witness.  

We will forever remember all who participated in the funeral: Chaplain Jason Nobles; The Old Guard; The Army Band; The Bugler; The Arlington Lady; The Bag Piper; BG Leslie Purser; and all those who worked behind the scenes. They saw that everything worked perfectly including the pre-funeral reception when more space was needed to accomodate the large numbers of attendees, and the reception following the funeral at Ft. Monroe. 

We are forever grateful to all who, with reverence, care for these sacred grounds; to all who place flags among all stones on Memorial Day; to all who deliver and place Christmas wreaths; and to all who take time to walk through the cemetery to visit Todd and the other heroes laid to rest in Arlington. Each time we visit, it moves and encourages us to encounter a coin, stone, or memento.
